The Lighting Specifier is responsible for calculating the cost per kilowatt rate based on the customer’s existing energy bills. Create custom lighting solutions based on customer’s existing lighting technology and upgrades customer’s fixtures to more energy-efficient lighting fixtures, including any brackets and accessories needed to install each fixture.

Coordinate between various departments such as installation, project administration, and procurement to ensure all products are in stock and being specified accordingly, to handle any contractor inquiries during installation on site, and handle any additional documents needed for sales affiliates.

Communicate all changes from original soft audit to hard audit and detail these changes to outline why savings and monthly compensation to FES have changed throughout the engineering review. Assess any changes needed that come up after the installation is completed.


  • Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced office environment to meet multiple project deadlines simultaneously
  • Computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn and use unique web-based application
  • Critical thinking, creative problem solving, and detail-oriented ability to communicate well in a team environment
  • Must display a basic understanding of electricity and use of various standard units of measuring such as wattage and voltage
  • Basic understanding of lighting audits
  • Microsoft Office
