The members of Genetec's production and repair team apply their creative talents and techniques in developing effective, structured and profitable production and repair strategies. They work closely with the hardware and software development teams and with the external suppliers (assembly, parts).
A production/repair position with Genetec offers an opportunity to make a tangible contribution to the efficient operation and optimization of the assembly and repair process of a constantly evolving product with fast-growing sales.
What your day will look like:
Perform final validations of cameras, ensuring they meet all quality criteria – optical, software and mechanical – in accordance with established procedures.
Re-integrate returned defective units into inventory system (ERP).
Debug and determine cause of defect.
Establish repair time and part(s) required.
Order from store via inventory system (ERP) parts required for repairs.
Repair, reprogram/reconfigure, validate operability, tune-up cameras, calibrate, seal casing and return to customer or place in inventory.
Make required entries/adjustments in inventory system (ERP).
Update monthly reports on causes of repairs.
Diploma of collegial studies in electronics.
Quick learner and self-starter.
Able to communicate in French and English.
High degree of autonomy and creativity; enjoys challenges.
Knowledge of debugging tools such as oscilloscope, digital voltmeter, etc.
Ability to make repairs in accordance with IPC standards.
Experience of working with an inventory system (ERP).
Knowledge of the Windows Embedded environment.
Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP).
Several years’ troubleshooting and repair experience in the electronic equipment production field.
