As a software tester within the development team of the Device Integrations group, you will work closely with the developers and be exposed to everything related to the integration of video, audio, and other devices into our flagship product Security Center, as well as all the attributes that affect quality and performance. In addition, you will be called upon to contribute to the integration of cameras and encoders, document the various functionalities, and participate in their validation.
Expect to be a full partner in the team as well as being able to count on our group of software testers to guide you in your new position.
What Your Day Will Look Like:
Run function level tests on the various components managed by the team in Security Center, thus ensuring quality software versions
Design test cases and procedures to validate new features during the product development phase
Understand end-to-end use cases and master the testing of functionality, debugging and fault isolation, and product quality
Propose and implement new tools/practices/test automation, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team
Perform root cause analysis of problems encountered in the field and recommend improvements
Participate with the team for the evaluation and estimation of testing efforts for upcoming tasks
About You
A motivated person who enjoys teamwork and has excellent interpersonal skills and communicates in French and English (the work environment is mainly French-speaking).
Strong technical writing skills to document specifications and test results
Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows, client-server applications and services
Good knowledge of test strategies and techniques, test scenario creation, and test execution at a functional level
Good knowledge of network protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTP, IP)
Great If You Have
Knowledge of IP video surveillance
Knowledge of video codecs (MJPEG, H.264, HEVC) and attributes that affect video quality and bandwidth
Knowledge of Windows performance counters and Wireshark
Ability to create basic scripts using PowerShell or another scripting language
Knowledge of Microsoft Test Manager and Team Foundation Server
