Job Description for Agile Project Manager

Agile Project Manager who will lead project delivery for 2-3 Scrum Teams at a point in time.

  • Should have experience in managing projects using Scrum methodology for 4-5 years, should have managed more than 2 Scrum Teams at the same time.
  • Project Manager with a strong understanding of Agile fundamentals should be experienced with Scrum and KANBAN methodologies
  • Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.
  • Help the team organize themselves into self-sustaining teams and coach them on being disciplined and self-organized. Guide the team to be self-organized to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks.
  • Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.
  • Should create a roadmap for Agile adoption for various teams and should work constantly towards implementing the same - Showcase steady progress on Agile adoption
  • Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
  • Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
  • Working with Product Owners and Engineering Managers to ensure a healthy product backlog - Facilitate refinements of Stories and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.
  • Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown technologies, various Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.).
  • Identify potential risks that impact the product/schedule/cost in advance and assist the team in mitigating them
  • Effectively manage a variety of work priorities
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and in a challenging environment
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
  • High in energy, positive attitude
