Software Support Engineer (Campbellfield, AU)

HUB Parking Technology invites applications for the position of Software Support Engineer, based in Campbellfield, to support clients and internal Field Service Technicians of HUB Parking Technology car park revenue systems.

The Main Responsibilities include:

  • Acquire deep product knowledge in order to provide a prompt support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Program base servers for project installations.
  • Ongoing server maintenance tasks including updates, migration and replacement
  • Remote online support for general customer enquiries
  • Online support for HUB Service Field Technicians
  • Programming rate changes and other customised fields within client parking systems
  • Installing/patching systems with software updates
  • Documenting and reporting on software bugs/faults
  • Manage the end-customer requests through the Service Teams, and filter/report to R&D and Product Management
  • Investigate and develop local solutions to customer requirements
  • Develop server side scripting for automated and scheduled reporting needs, gate controls and 3rd part counter signage requirements
  • Design and build custom reports/utilities/applications for customer specific or localised requirements
  • Close collaboration with Headquarters Product Development in Bologna Italy
  • Ability to work as part of a growing and changing organisation.

Technical Skills Required are:

  • Database: general level MS SQL server installation/maintenance/performing basic SQL query’s.
  • Programing: C#, C/C++, Java, MS SQL, PostgreSQL would be favourable.
  • Experience with electronics, circuit prototyping, Arduino or microcontrollers would also be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.

  • Software support and programming.
  • Electronics experience.
  • Tertiary qualification in Software and/or Electronics.
