We are looking for our talented IT Tribe Lead within our “Research & Development” department Enterprise Retail, structured in Tribes and Squads. Each Tribe is responsible for a specific part of our Product Portfolio or Technology Stack. This organizational setup and the SAFE scaled agile framework are formalized in the Ingenico agile model (i-AM). We strive to enable the squads and tribes to be as autonomous as possible, both from a priority as well as a delivery perspective. The objective of our department is to develop, manage, and deliver the software product portfolio. R&D guiding principle is to “Enable first-things-first deliveries of fit-for-purpose solutions through frequent, adaptable, and regular time-boxed service increments”.
The Big Bets (BB) tribe is focused mainly on designing and delivering the Big Bets for Enterprise Retail BL. For now, the identified BBs are Acquiring and Self-Services (Parking, Transports, Vending, EV Charging). This tribe will work closely with the Enterprise Retail business, other AXIS tribes, other Retail Business lines (Acquiring/Bambora), and B&A. Additionally, this tribe will also manage the Petrol in-store for AXIS customers (compliancy mainly). This tribe will be created from scratch leveraging existing Axis expertise and boarding newcomers.
Reporting to our Vice-President Technology, our IT Tribe lead is the servant leader of the tribe. You are hierarchically responsible for the IT people and accountable for the smooth delivery of working products and services. You focus on continuously improving the agility and overall delivery performance of the tribe liaising closely with the relevant Business and IT Tribe leads on the tactical and strategical vision as well as the mid & long-term tribe priorities.
Find ways to continuously improve the delivery performance of the Tribe, the maintainability of the software, the collaboration with the tribe stakeholders
Be an ambassador and coach to continuously improve the Agile practices used by the tribe
Provide a central node of communication for business, IT and improvement initiatives delivery status towards the key stakeholders
Manage Tribe’s resources, including external people (subcontractors, offshore & nearshore)
Recruit talents and build high-performance teams
Be accountable for the budget definition and budget consumption of the Tribe
Define the IT strategy and roadmap for the tribe together with the Tribe subject matter experts
Create and follow up on detailed execution plans where required and oversee the implementation of the product and service
Work closely with the other IT and Business Tribe Leads and with other counterparts to drive delivery alignment and collaboration
Be accountable for providing transparency on delivery and stimulate teamwork and team commitment
Maintain a culture of commitment, engagement, and partnership between your tribe and all parts of the organization.
With several years of people management experience in software delivery in an international environment, you have a proven track record in complex IT organizations in senior roles which include budget management, re-structuring of activities and teams, executive-level and quality of reporting
Experience in managing multiple multidiscipline software development squads (scrum teams)
Experience in defining and driving the IT strategy and transforming them roadmap delivery and key team objectives. You have a good knowledge of modern SDLC and CI/CD concepts, We would appreciate experience in Telecommunications, Financial, or Payment industry. Electronic payments and acquiring knowledge is a great advantage. You are comfortable working with geographically dispersed teams, onshore, offshore and nearshore
Engineering studies: Master level degree in engineering management or equivalent
French and English – excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
Advanced knowledge of Java frameworks
Advanced knowledge in Database and SQL programming
C / C++ competencies
Team player and Communicator, demonstrated relationship building, networking and collaboration, decisiveness in negotiation, very strong influencing and persuasion skills
Ability to build consensus in an environment of conflicting interests and ensure execution of agreed initiatives - always focused towards the result
