The Spirit of the Position:

LAZ’s continued growth has created an opportunity in the Client Reporting Services department for a talented Junior Accountant. The ideal candidate will be someone who is looking to learn all aspects of accounting within a private company. This position is at the Southeast Regional Office located in Atlanta, GA.

Principal Job Duties:

  • Perform required month-end close activities for each location, including accurate preparation and recording of all journal entries.
  • Reconcile and record activity from daily cash reports, credit card activity reports, and bank statements.
  • Complete individual location bank reconciliations using auto matching application.
  • Meet monthly financial report submission deadlines to Regional Accountant.
  • Other duties as assigned by Regional Accountants to support the department, field, and client.

Education:

  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting

Experience:

  • Internship experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Commercial Property Management accounting and client financial reporting experience a plus

Skills:

  • Experience and proven ability in demonstrating analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and effectively interface and communicate both through written and verbal means.
  • Excellent computer skills, including high and proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Adobe, and Outlook).

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 10 pounds
