The Spirit of the Position

The Portfolio Manager oversees the operations of multiple shuttle locations, under the direction of the General Manager to ensure 24/7 professional shuttle management. As a company devoted to promoting an employee-focused servant leadership culture, the Portfolio Manager will support the programs and initiatives originating from our home office and help to support the individual needs of their operational teams throughout their assigned portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assist with high-level operational issues. Focus primarily on outstanding client relations, operational efficiency and building new business opportunities in Orange County.
  • Oversight of the development and implementation of procedures/policies that assist with the supervision of all administrative and operational managerial staff
  • Review all facility, operating, and capital expenditures, Overall oversight, development, and delivery of budget compliance
  • Understand, implement, and deliver all requirements that are outlined within the contractual agreement between LAZ Parking and our client.
  • Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Annual reports as required.
  • Review all P & L Statements per location and evaluate what steps are needed to continue operations at or under budget, question managers on payroll, expenses, and other costs associated with locations.
  • Operation knowledge in shuttle operations, as well as hospitality experience (Hotel and Hospital)
  • Multi-tasking, organization skills, and customer relations are key responsibilities that must be executed
  • Responsible for financial reporting on a daily basis.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts of prospective clients
  • Review and edit proposed parking packet and agreements for maintenance agreements
  • Knowledge and experience with DOT compliance / CHP inspections
  • Monitor, review and analyze the market rate structures
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Education

  • BA/BS Degree in Business or equivalent work experience

Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in the parking/transportation industry as a manager or director
  • Knowledgeable of parking/shuttle management industry is strongly desired
  • Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with passenger endorsement is strongly desired. Candidates without CDL will need to obtain one within the first 90 days of employment

Physical Demands

  • Ability to frequently sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to occasionally stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and otherwise move objects of at least 50 pounds in weight.
  • Ability to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
  • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, squat, and lift objects throughout the day.
  • Ability to apply pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
  • Ability to perform functions that require repetitive motions using hands, wrists, arms, knees, and/or legs.
  • Ability to express or exchange information, instructions, ideas, etc. by means of the spoken word.
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make the discrimination in sound
