The Spirit of the Position:

The Government Services Proposal Manager supports the Vice President of Government Services with a complete oversight for the development, production, and submission process of proposal documents for LAZ Government Services. As a company devoted to promoting an employee-focused servant leadership culture, the Government Services Proposal Manager will support the programs and initiatives originating from our home office and help to support the needs throughout Government Services.

Principal Job Duties:

  • Evaluate Request for Proposals (RFP’s); develop requirements matrix and prepare initial response outline.
  • Maintain inventory of proposal content and create new content as needed.
  • Create and update various charts, graphs and images used for proposals.
  • Prepare required forms as required per RFP and obtain required signatures.
  • Communicating with home office on all proposal needs regarding bonds, certificate of insurance, tax forms, etc.
  • Create proposal specific tabs, labels, binder covers, etc.
  • Submitting requests for proposals after contracts are signed for awards.
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations and other materials as needed to support Government Services marketing and communication efforts.
  • Coordinate all printing and binding or proposals and presentations.
  • Manage shipping of proposals and presentations or the online electronic submission process as required per the RFP.
  • Maintain registrations and access to various procurement websites and municipal procurement systems.
  • Coordinate tradeshow registrations, sponsorships, and set up.
  • Organizing tradeshow related materials and coordinate shipping.
  • Order and maintain an inventory of documents and giveaways.
  • Make other arrangements as necessary such as special events and client activities.
  • Produce and deliver marketing information and emails prior to and as a follow-up to tradeshows.
  • Assist with any logistics or marketing activities that are needed during tradeshows.
  • Support marketing and communication efforts including developing content for various printed and on-line publications. These efforts may include content for websites, social media posts, case studies, or industry articles.
  • Order and manage supplies.
  • Process invoices.
  • Draft correspondence letters and internal and external communication.
  • Maintain Government Services client references and contact information.
  • Proficient on Word, Excel, PowerPoint all other MS Office products is required.
  • PDF and Graphics editing experience require.
  • Additional related duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.


  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing, publication, or similar sales support role. Understanding of government procurement process with proposal development responsibilities desired.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point and General Microsoft Office Applications.


  • Ability to work independently and multi-task.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to life, push, and pull at least 10 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk and/or run for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift throughout a shift.
