The Spirit of the Position:

LAZ’s continued growth and complex cash management environment has created an opportunity in the Client Reporting Services department for a Treasury Specialist with treasury and accounting experience to join our professional team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for key aspects of treasury and cash management in a department handling over 1200 managed locations and approximately 900 bank accounts.

Position Summary:

The Treasury Specialist will be responsible for accurately reconciling monthly high-volume managed cash pool, lock-box depository, and ZBA bank accounts within the Client Reporting Services department. Responsibilities include journalizing accounting entries for monthly activity and approving all client distributing funding requests and intercompany wire transfers. Serving as administrator for the department and enhancing the control environment through policy and process documentation are also key aspects of the position.

  • Perform monthly bank account reconciliations for all managed depository accounts: Wells Fargo Managed Cash Pool Disbursement Account, BOA Managed Cash Pool Disbursement Account, three ZBA concentration accounts with BOA, Wells Fargo and Huntington, including preparation and recording of all journal entries and processing of wire transfers.
  • Settlement and general ledger posting of intercompany and inter organizational balances
  • Review and approve all departmental funding requests and wiring requirements, including processing monthly funding distributions on behalf of our clients and intercompany settlements.
  • Establish new managed bank accounts and maintain administration of all department users and online banking access.
  • Document and implement new cash management policies, controls, and procedures.

Other duties as assigned or required to support the department and specific cash management needs., approve and post regional intercompany entries.


  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance


  • Advance knowledge of General Accounting Practices including bank/cash reconciliations, journal entries, initiating wires and ACH's
  • Experience and proven ability in demonstrating analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Experience with meeting month end closing deadlines is required.
  • Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and effectively interface and communicate both through written and verbal means with all levels at the Home Office.
  • Excellent computer skills, including high and proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Adobe, and Outlook).
  • Experience in Microsoft Navision, EPICOR, and/or Vivid Reports


  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting or banking experience required, including substantial treasury, accounting, and cash management exposure.
  • CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) preferred, but not required.

  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 10 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for longer periods of time.
