The Spirit of the Position: The Utility Engineer is responsible for Assisting the Chief Engineer with responsibilities for the property daily.
What Will I Do?
Check building equipment and general operations
Assist Chief Engineer with Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, and Miscellaneous work
Assist with monitoring vendors that are contracted out to do any repairs
Assisting the Chief Engineer with replacing light bulbs
Walk the property to check for problem areas
Assisting the Chief Engineer with tenant calls that are placed on the Angus system
Responsible for ensuring all daily duties are completed efficiently and timely.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Strong customer service skills.
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
Basic computer skills
Experience in the field of Maintenance/Engineering
Ability to lift, push and pull at least 30 pounds.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
