The Nedap readers, transponders and sensors optimise, guard and monitor the movements of millions of vehicles and people across the world, every day. The Nedap technology is applied in many different areas. For example to guarantee a safe, quick and comfortable flow of vehicles and persons at airports, ports or office buildings. Over the last few years the proportion of software in our solutions has strongly increased. Recently introduced products are largely based on a server-architecture in combination with apps. We are working on an ioT platform for vehicle detection in cities and an access control platform that makes use of virtual passes on smartphones.
Within the hardware team we develop the electronics, antennas and mechanics for, for instance, RFID systems as part of the vehicle and persons identification. In this instance, we make us of both 2.4 GHz (Micro-wave) and 900 MHz (UHF) technology. As an RF developer you will be responsible for the translation of functional requirements to a technical design and the development of new analogue and digital circuits. In addition you evaluate the prototypes of the circuits and assist in the development of production testers. Your tasks consist of the development of new products, but also the improvement of existing products plays a major role. You are also expected to deliver the accompanying product documentation.
As an RF developer you will be working in a team of firmware, software and hardware specialists, with an experienced RF developer, among others. Many of the tasks take place in close cooperation with firmware developers and product engineers.
You are a passionate developer with a Higher Vocational Education or WO diploma and you have at least 5 years of experience in product development and knowledge of RF circuits either analogue or digital. You enjoy working with PCB CAD and simulation tooling. You are able to work on a project independently and are happy to take the responsibility. You regard it as a challenge to find the best solution for any issue and you like to contribute to the growth team in terms of knowledge and skills.
The urban population is steadily growing, and with it the number of vehicles is also on the rise. Liveability, safety, accessibility and traffic flow are important issues. With our technology, which makes possible the remote recognition not only of vehicles, but also of drivers, even at high speeds, we are able to make an enormous improvement in traffic flow at the entrances and exits of parking garages, airports, business parks and cities.
