Partner Success Manager (Schaumburg, US)



As a key member of the Network Merchants LLC (NMI) sales team, the Partner Success Manager (PSM) will be responsible for managing and growing partner relationships with independent sales organizations (ISOs), value added resellers (VARs), independent software vendors (ISVs) and e-commerce/mobile commerce developers who are assigned to the PSM’s portfolio. The PSM’s activities will include identifying opportunities and growth areas within existing partner customer base, ensuring partners have a thorough understanding of NMI offerings and can effectively communicate the NMI value propositions to end user customers (e.g. merchants), and promoting the cross-selling of multiple NMI offerings.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Strengthen and expands existing NMI partner account relationships to drive profitable revenue growth
  • Establishes relationships with new key stakeholders at partner organizations within their portfolio
  • Engages with partners on joint business planning to develop mutual performance objectives and financial targets
  • Delivers partner facing product and sales training with the appropriate channel partners to increase knowledge of portfolio and grow partner share of mind
  • Collaborates with NMI Marketing and Technical Sales teams to develop and execute product promotions, partner enablement and training, customer lead and demand generation campaigns
  • Participates in joint sales calls with partners to drive end user customer opportunities
  • Serves as conduit between the Partner and NMI to coordinate product fulfillment and support
  • Routinely reviews partner pipeline and performance to health check progress against goals
  • Conducts periodic partner business reviews to assess and validate partner needs and address performance gaps
  • Oversees collection of data and development of materials for regular partner business reviews
  • Remains current and knowledgeable on all products, software and services
  • Maintains accurate and timely records for efficient reporting of sales and account management activities via written, oral and Salesforce.com updates as required
  • Performs all other related tasks or duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 3-5 years of relevant experience or a combination of commensurate experience and education
  • Experience selling or supporting customers in the payments industry
  • A proven top performer
  • Results driven, energetic and entrepreneurial individual placing emphasis on the company goals and objectives
  • Able to develop and deliver effective sales presentations and product training
  • Able to communicate product features and benefits in a compelling way that provides proof of value to customer
  • Possess strong customer service and client retention skills
  • Understand how to target opportunities based on total potential, likely profitability & probability of success
  • Will be capable of prioritizing time on the right opportunities to maximize results and maintaining a pipeline with opportunities to maximize productivity over the course of the year
  • Possess excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
