What are we looking for?

We are looking for an established Talent Acquisition Specialist or Internal Recruiter to join our People Team at NMI! They will be based permanently our of Schaumburg office. The successful candidate will run the end-to-end recruitment processes for all parts of the business including; DevOps / Infrastructure, Information Security, Engineering / Development, QA, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product and Support, to name but a few. You will be responsible for attracting and recruiting new talent at NMI across our US offices in New York, Chicagoland, Salt Lake City, and Los Angeles as well as remote employees.

The perfect candidate will be an ambassador of NMI culture and will seek out AWESOME talent who will help NMI grow. They will utilize proper recruiting channels to get the right candidates by actively engaging passive candidates and handling the pipeline for active candidates. They will work closely with hiring managers to make sure we get the right person in the right seat.

This role is part of the People Team at NMI so experience of (or an interest in) other areas of the People/HR function is welcomed and encouraged!

Essential Functions

  • Grow and maintain a healthy pipeline of candidates in the US markets.
  • Demonstrate activity in engaging passive candidates through effective recruiting channels.
  • Partner with hiring manager throughout the recruiting process to hire the best talent to join the NMI team
  • Maintain a healthy balance of time-to-fill and quality of hire.
  • Work with the UK based Talent Acquisition partner on key projects and once defined imbed into day-to-day recruiting activities:
  • Map out the overall candidate experience and ensure it is uniform and high-touch
  • Develop a DEI recruiting strategy that supports diverse hiring
  • Improve our recruiting process and provide training to managers and employees involved in the process to ensure an outstanding candidate experience.
  • Develop a recruiting scorecard to track progress on key hiring metrics
  • Partner with Marketing to develop our social media strategy and expand on our external Presence (e.g. Glassdoor, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Grow and manage university/community recruiting efforts.
  • Track data and ensure all recruitment systems are kept up-to-date (the successful candidate will be responsible for the whole process for US recruitment including administration).
  • Perform all other related duties, as assigned.

Key Accountabilities

The successful candidate will be able to show the following:

  • Active candidate database at all times
  • Raving reviews from hiring managers on how you helped them get the right candidate
  • Create and manage metrics for high quality of hire
  • Average time-to-fill of under 60 days

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience of recruiting in-house within Technology or FinTech is essential, but comfortable recruiting for non-technical roles too (sales, marketing, Customer Service, etc).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and passion to continually learn best and legal practices.
  • Organized, independent, skilled in prioritization and scheduling, skilled in networking, with a high sense of confidentiality and ethics.
  • Comfortable scheduling interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Tech savvy; proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, applicant tracking systems and recruitment database tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Modified or Implemented systemic changes in the recruitment process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to think critically and challenge others constructively. The ideal candidate is also somewhat of a data geek and uses data to inform decisions.
  • Ability to work with line managers to define job specs which are engaging and attractive and provide candidates with a realistic preview of the role and organization
