About the role/team

This is a proactive role within the growing sales and marketing team. The core purpose is to increase the potential for our business to create and realise value from each individual client within the client base by evangelising the portfolio of our products and matching client business requirements to our product offerings and services.

You must be able to work with our existing clients (both public and private sectors) to discuss, frame and develop opportunities and to liaise with our internal delivery functions. We are looking for enthusiasm and belief in the portfolio of products, also the credibility and the mindset to tease out problems and to turn them into opportunities. You will be offered appropriate and necessary hands-on development and training.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships through regular close contact account management which will include regular face to face meetings, telephone and email communication.
  • Keeping in close touch with and understanding the needs of your accounts through monitoring of performance), account growth and by planning client account visits and preparing account review packs for these meetings;
  • Create Account Plans to aid future account development and ongoing review with the Account Director/Sales Director
  • Develop and close new business (up-sell and cross-sell) opportunities from your accounts and produce any necessary proposal or supporting documentation;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that a client may be experiencing in a timely manner with assistance from the Operations and Professional Services teams;
  • Work closely with the Product Management Owner for ideas and product enhancements that will add more value to an account;
  • For all owned accounts, ensure that trials are converted into contracts and take the lead to ensure that contracts are successfully renewed;
  • Attend industry events and exhibitions when required: and
  • Maintain the “Salesforce” CRM system with all account opportunities, client meetings and key activities at all times

  • Have demonstrable experience as an account manager with a proven track record of growth and retention strategies;
  • Have a numbers and strategic focus
  • Understand processes and enjoy customer facing technology;
  • Are able to prioritise, manage and track multiple activities and tasks;
  • Are a strong verbal and written communicator;
  • Have a strong customer service ethos;
  • Familiar with Salesforce and MS Office;
  • Valid UK driver’s licence.
