About the role

Our company is rapidly expanding, and we are looking for a new colleague to join our Service Operations team as an Operations Engineer. You will be joining a team of 8 people who work closely together. They have their own expertise and focus on providing our internal and external customers with the right operational support for our services.

Your Responsibilities

As an Operations Engineer you will act as a point of contact for both internal and external customers. You are responsible for maintaining service availability by managing incidents reported by customers. You will further monitor the production environment and systems while getting the specialized departments involved when needed.

You will further have a shared responsibility regarding incident management and you are required to provide the communication towards the business. The role requires you to be part of an on call-rota. You will be responsible for ensuring that all reported incidents/service requests are managed to closure, participate in the software quality checks as part of release management and coordinate the resolution of problem tickets as part of problem management.

You will have 2 to 3 areas of expertise such as finance, or a specific service support area like the in-car dashboard app, and you will be the point of contact within our team. You will have an advising role towards the stakeholders and your own department.

  • Bachelor's degree qualification with interest in IT
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to prioritise, manage and track multiple activities and tasks
  • The ability to quickly analyse incidents
  • Are willing and able to embrace change and learn new technologies
  • Are very receptive and a fast learner
  • An enthusiastic approach and “can-do” attitude
  • Are resilient and cope well under heavy workloads
  • A strong Customer Service ethos
  • Have a flexible approach to work with a problem-solving mindset
