Under general supervision, the Manager oversees all parking operations associated with parking monitor employees, equipment, and facilities in all Georgia Building Authority facilities on Capitol Hill. Prepares and analyzes reports and assists in the development of policies and procedures to ensure the effective management of staff and resources in an effort to meet short term and long term strategic goals. The Manager also performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university AND two (2) years of experience managing professional level staff; OR Six (6) years of related professional experience AND two (2) years managing professional level staff.
An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis. Must have a valid Georgia’s Driver’s License and meet the agency’s requirements to be an authorized driver.
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess the following:
Experience with the State of Georgia parking facilities/systems
Knowledge of parking facilities and equipment; Ability to supervise and plan the work of others. Ability to perform duties with limited supervision. Must possess the ability to lift, push, pull and carry heavy items. The ability to walk indoor and outdoor facilities and multi-level structures is required. Ability to analyze and define problems, identify alternative solutions, estimate consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations in support of strategic goals.
