As a Frontend Engineer, you'll be responsible for driving the development of a modem progressive web application that reaches millions in the United States. On the Frontend Engineering team, you will contribute to core architecture, reusable components, and developer tools for web projects across the company, including,, and countless white labels. We're using React to build dynamic UIs as we explore and test new concepts and smart experiences. We believe that high quality, well-tested code is mission-critical to our future success. We also believe in choosing the right tool for the job; you should be comfortable researching, writing, and discussing the pros and cons of architecture and design proposals with colleagues across the company.

Our company is growing at more than 30% year over year and has many challenging engineering problems that come with that rate of growth for a large customer base. We are constantly looking for ways to improve, iterate, and reimagine our current digital platforms to provide the best possible customer experience. Our team is growing, and we are looking for engineers who have a passion for solving problems, enjoy staying on top of tech trends and lead by doing. You won't be forced into management as your career grows -- we have separate tracks for individual contributors and managers. We're still a small company with real opportunities to leave a positive, wide-ranging impact.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with product, design, and data analytics roles to shape our product vision, launch features, and run experiments
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle, including estimation, design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Drive initiatives that impact nearly every part of the company by building shareable foundations, improving developer efficiency, and defining the architecture of our web applications
  • Work on CI/CD pipelines for various front-end projects

You are excited by the rapidly evolving web development landscape, and you continuously seek new methods and tools to make great websites faster and better.
  • Quality. You believe that speed and quality can be achieved at the same time, and you rely on your deep understanding of programming design patterns and data structures to find pragmatic solutions to hard problems. You never miss an opportunity to learn from a mistake, and you use past experiences to inform future performance optimizations and architecture. You are committed to quality-driven engineering practices like continuous deployment, controlled a/b rollouts, and automated testing.
  • Make teams better. You're excited to lead a team to the finish line or work hard on new opportunities. You work well in fast-moving teams and have no problem working with others to resolve difficult problems. You support your team as much as your team supports you

We know there's no such thing as a "perfect" candidate. We're all a work in progress and are growing new skills and capabilities all the time.
