Content Development Manager (Charlotte, US)

Passport is seeking a talented copywriter to join our marketing team to create compelling content to reach a B2B/B2G audience. The Content Development Manager will report to the Marketing Communications Manager and be an integral part of the communications function. Partnering with internal and external thought leaders and subject matter experts, the Content Development Manager will develop an ongoing content strategy, concept, and pitch content ideas and write and research content across many mediums including blog posts, white papers, bylines, web copy, ad copy and more. This individual will be a strong writer with experience communicating about technology, software, smart cities, urban mobility and/or transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary copywriter for Passport’s marketing team and draft content to be shared across Passport channels and external channels, including blog posts, webinars, videos, landing pages, email content, social media content, buyer’s guides, and white papers
  • Work with internal and external thought leaders to ghostwrite content to communicate Passport’s positions through a third-party source
  • Own Passport’s brand voice and ensure cohesiveness across content for Passport-owned channels
  • Partner with Marketing Communications, Client Marketing, Product Marketing, and Digital Marketing to align on content strategy
  • Identify customers’ needs and recommend new content to address gaps in the company’s current content
  • Evaluate content performance and utilize data to inform future content strategies
  • Edit all content created by the marketing team to ensure a polished final product that is free of grammatical or factual errors
  • Develop concepts and copy for print ads and partner with Design on creative execution
  • Assist Sales and Business Development with presentations for speaking opportunities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of copywriting and content development experience across a variety of mediums
  • Experience with writing for a B2B or B2G audience, experience with smart cities, technology, software, and/or mobility preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with a team and independently
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and extreme attention to detail
