Senior Business Development Manager Europe (Paris, FR)


You will responsible for developing both existing customers/partners whilst engaging with new prospects in the Parking/Unattended market across the EU in full compliance with the overall sales strategy and sales pipeline.

Building long-term relationships is key to this role whilst also being able to build the Planet offer in line with our customers and partner’s needs. This to deliver results in a fast and qualitative way as well as providing a consistent high-end level of customer service

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage the delivery of Account Plans. Strengthen relationships with Partners/Customers and Prospects, internal/external resources to ensure the delivery of these plans.
  • Lead meetings and drive relationships to deliver on the pre-set Country targets.
  • Develop Account plans and ensure CRM (Salesforce) and plans are correctly completed with the following characteristics
  • CRM and Plans are always up-to-date
  • Specific objectives and actions in each plan are well specified and are measurable
  • Objectives and actions create new business opportunities and foster solid long-term relationships with Customers and Prospects
  • Maintain a defined activity log of all actions relating to each account and ensure regular reporting.
  • Communicate weekly with the key stakeholders to give feedback on sales activity to the extent these affect their areas of responsibility. Ensure all actions from these meetings are achieved within the agreed timescales.
  • Keep abreast of all competitor activity and marketplace opportunities to ensure that the Company remains competitive and ahead of the game in all aspects of the market.
  • In cooperation with the Financial Controller and other operating staff, operate within the policies and procedures these areas apply. This will ensure the smooth, efficient and effective running of the Sales Operation.
  • Manage the negotiation of commercial agreements, coordinating their execution with the relevant Planet departments in keeping with Company policies and procedures.

Who you are

  • Bachelor, Master or equivalent qualification in business related subject supported by strong business development experience within the retail, payment or tourism sector.
  • A proven track-record of accomplishments of managing strategic relationships, prospecting and delivering high revenue / profitable and long-term agreements.
  • At least 10 years’ experience of performing sales in the Unattended market.
  • Must have a goal orientated, agile and performance related culture.
  • Proven written, verbal and numerical skills.
  • Proven organisational, planning, time management and budgetary skills.
  • Proven English speaking and writing language skills to a business standard.
  • Proven self-starter, networker and relationship builder. Must enjoy independent work.
  • Proven ability to work alongside unattended/Parking payment stakeholders within the company and be at ease working alongside Company Executives and external senior retail/payment executives.
