The Back Office group is responsible for system development, integration and operation of the company's front and back-end solutions within the company's road pricing systems in Norway and abroad.

We at Q-Free are proud to deliver world-leading toll systems that contribute to increased accessibility for all road user groups through funding for enhanced public transport and bicycle measures, road network improvements and more sustainable cities. Our job is to collect the toll fees as efficiently as possible and ensure experiences for today's customers and users, as well as facilitate future value creation.

We now need a solution-oriented and structured engineer / civil engineer with a few years of experience to join the team. You are positive, cooperative, flexible and inquisitive. We appreciate that you are self-propelled and with great standing-at-will. You communicate well in Norwegian and English, both orally and in writing.

You will get to work on exciting and complex projects both nationally and internationally. The tasks consist of:

  • Development, testing and management of Q-Free's back system solutions
  • Integration work on Q-Free's devices
  • Managing existing solutions


In addition to personal fitness, we look forward to having you:

  • Worked for several years as a developer, and has experience from various tasks and roles
  • Experience in implementing different layers in architecture, and preferably in depth knowledge of complex business logic, databases and system integration.
  • Experience from using Java and SQL.
  • In addition, it will be beneficial if you have knowledge of one or more of the following domains: Linux, Maven, Messaging (AMQP / ZeroMQ), PostgreSQL, JOOQ, http REST, Debian, Jenkins, Git, Javascript, Web Services, Networking and serve.

Workplace will be flexible as everyone is expected to be able to work from home office. The team is mainly located in Trondheim, so it is an advantage if you are in the immediate area.
