T2 Systems is seeking a dynamic CFO to lead the company through its next phase of growth. As a key partner to the CEO, the CFO will manage all financial functions, including accounting, FP&A, revenue collection, audit, and cash management. The CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership team and will play a critical role in developing and implementing a growth strategy for T2 Systems.
Provide critical financial direction, operational guidance and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations for a growth company
Capture, analyze, and deliver financial data and insights that maximize strategic decision making for the executive team, and the Board of Directors
Lead financial planning processes that facilitate and influences investment decisions
Support the growth of the business through comprehensive due diligence and skilled financial analysis of potential acquisitions and other strategic investments
Identify the economic levers and key leading and trailing indicators and metrics of performance for the business, and drive operational focus around those initiatives
Be a strong business partner to SVP of Sales, working collaboratively on deal structure, closure, and strategy
Develop long-range financial plans with product and geographic revenue targets and departmental investment level
Be versed in various revenue, licensing and delivery models, including hardware, on-prem and SaaS software and services operational models, and support licensing initiatives and agreements
Act as a thoughtful business partner with key managers in helping them meet revenue and company EBITDA targets
Promote a culture of high performance and accountability
Recruit, develop, and lead a highly effective financial team that delivers value to the organization with expert financial analysis, management of highly effective business planning, and internal control processes
Ensure compliance, clean audits, and proper reporting and controls
Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions
Ensure timely and accurate closing of the monthly books
Clearly and concisely communicate (oral and written) the financial performance and leading indicators of the company’s strategy and forecasting
Experience and Qualifications
Given the importance of the position to our planned growth and success, the ideal candidate will bring the following background and experience:
Experience at a High-Growth Software, Hardware and, Services Company
Experience working in a double-digit growth environment (10%+ organically)
Successfully scaled from $75M-$150M+
Experience with SaaS software and hardware revenue models, and a solid understanding of software, hardware and services revenue recognition rules
Good awareness of new accounting principles, particularly the new standard and transition from old standards
Should have experience with a company selling multi-products with different licensing models and related sales force metrics
Developed detailed financial plans/models to evaluate the economic impacts of M&A and partnerships
In partnership with the CEO & Board, developed inorganic growth strategies
Managed and led due diligence and integration
Metrics-Drive, FP&A Background, and MBA or Equivalent Education
History of implementing or optimizing FP&A process, procedures, and infrastructure to enable scale and support growth (organic and inorganic growth)
History of leading financial and operational planning processes that enable investment decisions
Developed accurate long-term financial plans with product/geographic revenue targets
Created periodic forecasts to monitor financial progress against budget and assess EBITDA impact of incremental investments above budget levels
MBA or CPA required
Strategic Thought Partner to the CEO and Board
Experience developing tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO and board and making actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations
Experience advising on issues, trends, and changes in the operating models
Experience analyzing and synthesizing complex financial data
Experience assessing organizational performance against both the annual budget and long-term strategy
Private Equity Experience
One or more senior financial leadership positions in a private-equity backed company, ideally culminating in a successful sale
A true appreciation for the pace, intensity, and premium placed on incisive analysis and strategic insight
Track Record of Implementing and Tracking Metrics and KPIs to Provide Transparency into the Finance Function
Track record of implementing and tracking key metrics to provide transparency into the business
Implemented and/or integrated financial systems and infrastructure necessary to support operations (automate processes)
History of identifying economic levers and key metrics of the business to drive operational decision making
Set up and managed well-defined metrics and KPIs to track performance
Hands-On Leader with History of Building/Leading High Performing Teams
Track record of operating strategically and tactically to solve problems, improve processes, and assess capabilities of various finance functions
History of instilling a metric-driven culture through a hands-on, highly detailed approach
Open, engaging leader who inspires others, listens well, and has a high EQ Ability to influence others to press initiatives ahead quickly and thrive in a fast-pace, dynamic culture
Ability to integrate teams and/or transition them through significant change (e.g., M&A)
