Project Manager (Indianapolis, US)

Job Summary

Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from initiation to completion, while staying on time, within scope and on budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects successfully.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Own customer projects from beginning to end including the financial forecasting and revenue recognition of the project.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain full-scale project plans, identifying and managing project dependencies and the critical path, capturing all associated documents, tracking all project milestones and deliverables in approved project management toolsets.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders, and work with management to secure all project resources.
  • Provision and configure requested settings for each new customer environment, and delegate project tasks and responsibilities to the assigned resources, providing clear direction on project expectations.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports needed from the project team and communicate these details to the team. Facilitate project status meetings to address project deliverables, issues, and risks.
  • Ensure the status of projects are communicated to team members and stakeholders in an ongoing, timely, and clear manner.
  • Complete requests to modify the scope of the project while analyzing the effects on the project budget, schedule, and scope. Analyze the scope of the change to determine if a change request is needed and if so, communicate all requests to the appropriate sales team member and aid in determining the necessary pricing adjustment.
  • Deliver technical training to customers using Web-based virtual applications and/or facilitate onsite training as requested at customer sites.
  • Perform follow-up trainings, check in calls, and limited customer support to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist the sales department as requested in scoping customer projects by gathering the necessary details and data to analyze and understand the customer’s business processes and expectations to determine the needs for deliverables on new programs / projects.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Conduct and document project lessons learned to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Education and Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree; and two (2) to four (4) years’ experience in a professional work environment and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience is required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience delivering technical training.
  • Strong field project management skills, including knowledge of various project management tools and techniques.
  • Technical troubleshooting skills with combined software and hardware systems.
  • Proven experience creating agendas, facilitating meetings, producing minutes, and tracking action items is required.
  • Experience with managing third party vendors during projects preferred.
  • Must be able to travel regularly (25-50%) throughout North America and be comfortable with being on the road for extended periods of time.
  • Experience in the parking industry is not required but would be considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of the Android OS is also an asset.
