Job Summary

T2 Systems Canada (T2) is looking for a Quality Assurance Developer with the ability to take on leadership responsibilities and influence the direction and successes of the QA testing effort, and its schedule, and prioritization. The Quality Assurance Developer is responsible for the testing and deployment of the company’s Pay Station terminals, software, and multitenant web solution as well as associated enterprise service offerings (SaaS).

Essential Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate understanding of Agile Development/Testing Life Cycle by providing leadership and guidance;
  • Collaborate with team and management, as well as mentor and support associate/junior level team members;
  • Review product requirements, design specifications, and acceptance criteria to build an automation and/or manual testing strategy providing long-term product coverage;
  • Recommend Quality Assurance best practices and help define and champion Quality Assurance standards;
  • Work with team to provide accurate cost estimates for all automation testing efforts;
  • Have end-to-end ownership of quality features (from manual through automation);
  • Assist in determining root cause analysis of failed tests and ensure their reliability;
  • Build upon existing automation frameworks in Python/C++ using Robot or embedded systems.

Education and Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience;
  • 3 - 5 years' industry experience in QA or Software Engineering;

Experience & Knowledge With Automation;

  • Comfortable engaging cross-functional teams including development, system architects, product management, and customer support;
  • Familiarity with version control, bug tracking, and CI / CD systems;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Experience rolling out and managing manual and automated test suites;
  • Experience and solid understanding of how to conduct manual testing;
  • Proven ability to create and maintain tools to improve testing processes;
  • Strong problem-solving skills;
  • Desire to constantly be learning and contribute to QA Best Practices;
  • Collaborative team player;
  • Proficient with Linux-based systems is an asset;
  • Experienced in Embedded systems
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM.
  • Some hardware testing is an Asset
