We are looking for a hands-on Integrated Hardware Specialist to strengthen our Charging Solutions team. As an Integrated Hardware Specialist, you work with colleagues, customers, installation partners, hardware manufacturers (EV charging units), and other stakeholders to develop Virta’s hardware expertise and related user experience.
Develop and optimize the digital process of Virta’s hardware management
Maintain the highest of standards in the integrations between hardware and software platform solutions, quality, management of the tickets and process compliance, and meet SLA’s for uptime.
We are expecting you to plan, manage and implement integrations between hardware and software platform solutions in order to constantly develop reliability and user experience
Basic and in depth troubleshooting of hardware related problems
Develop and maintain documentation for supported equipment
Develop the digital hardware installation process
Assist in the development/maintaining of best practices and procedures
Experience with embedded software and hardware technologies related to energy management and/or building automation
Bachelor or master degree in automation and embedded software technologies or similar educational background
Familiarity with communications technologies
Understanding of maintenance, services models, and business models
Familiar with Finnish and European electricity and automation standards
Enthusiasm towards technology and equipment and passion to learn more
Excellent communication skills, highly organized way of working, and a good customer service attitude
Fluent in English in spoken and written format, as it is the main working language at Virta
Current residence inside the EU, willing to relocate to Helsinki, Finland.

Previous experience with EV charging hardware and OCPP protocol
Familiarity with digital IoT platform solutions, m2m communication, and process development
Additional language skills, especially Swedish, German and French
Certificate of qualification for Category 2 (S2) electrical work
