What we expect from you:

Design & document technical solutions and architecture, starting on EV Driver Services, and across the whole Virta Platform

• Work with development teams, product owners, and technical owners to ideate software solutions
• Work in a key role in planning and implementing different parts of Virta’s systems
• Develop your skills towards taking technical ownership of some of our sub-systems
• Do a lot of practical software development in various different projects to develop further our current services
• Write technical documentation
• Guide and coach junior developers in the back-end development work

What we expect from you to know about:

• Proven experience of back-end language PHP and preferably also Node.js and frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, Express.js
• Understanding of SOLID principles, test-driven approach, and MVCS architecture
• Experience with CI/CD systems (Bamboo, Jenkins, Drone.io)
• Experience in Scrum and Kanban. SAFe and other agile methodologies is a plus
• Knowledge of cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.
• Knowledge of front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, React)
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers
• Optionally experience in Event-driven architectures and Kafka
• Great communication skills and the ability to document things systematically and professionally
• Fluent in English, as it is the main working language at Virta
