We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join WPS’s UK Sales team.
This role will focus on highly proactive development and growth of new business whilst promoting WPS’s existing proposition in line with current business strategy.
Within this role you will have both strategic and tactical input into sales and marketing plans along with ownership and engagement of bids and tenders. A proven ability to develop, influence and maintain relationships with both new and existing customers is essential. You will liaise closely with the technical teams within WPS to ensure projects are accurately defined, fully understood and correctly implemented. You will also be responsible for ensuring all works and operations meet Company, statutory and contractual requirements from start to finish.
Reporting to the Managing Director of WPS in the UK, you will also be part of the Management Team and play a leading role in developing the direction and performance of the business.
The successful candidate must be confident in engaging and influencing customers at all levels and have experience of partnering relationships to help deliver sales growth. You will take the lead role in handling complex or large opportunities, gather intelligence on competitors, their products and market prices and analyse the data to make recommendations regarding Company strategy. This is primarily a field based role involving extensive travel.
