We have an exciting opportunity for an Operational and Technical Manager to join the WPS’s UK team.
What You Will Do
The purpose of this role is to optimize the operational performance across the WPS UK business (including new project and ongoing service/technical support) and to lead the Technical WPS UK technical and product management functions to provide high-quality solutions from WPS’s portfolio and with technology partners to WPS customers. The role works in close co-ordination with Operational and Technology Development functions in the WPS Group level.
Some Key Responsibilities and Activities
Overall responsibility for Operations and Technical functions within WPS UK.
Co-ordination of Projects, Service, and Technical teams within Operations.
With the Head of Service optimization of ongoing service and support delivery.
With Project Engineers and Technical Team, act as systems architecture lead.
Leading delivery of major project programs including multi-partner integrations.
Managing technical relationships with technology partners.
Managing key supplier relationships.
Working with Group Technology Director acting as a technical product manager/product champion to influence the direction of overall group technology development to meet UK requirements within a global context.
Close liaison with the sales teams within WPS to ensure projects are accurately defined, fully understood, and correctly implemented.
Act as a senior ongoing client relationship manager to major contracts.
What We Are Looking For
To fulfill the role successfully the following are some of the key skills and experience required:
Degree qualified or equivalent experience in a relevant technical discipline.
Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
Demonstrable experience of leading and managing a team.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to disseminate complex information in a concise and clear manner
Familiarity with the application of Linux/Unix/understanding of Docker
Experience of deployment of SQL/Postgres database
Full driving license
Right to work in the UK
