The role calls for an ability to initiate, develop and maintain relationships at all levels and for you to become a trusted technical solutions advisor. You have the empathy and strong technical ability to listen to and fully comprehend complex customer needs and to use a partnering style to professionally advise them on the best solutions to achieve optimal benefit. As Regional Sales Manager you will play a critical role to enable growth in the Western Canada region with a geographic territory spanning from Northwestern Ontario to British Columbia. You report directly to the General Manager.

What you will do

As Western Canada Regional Sales Manager you will take the lead in creating and handling a wide range of opportunities, some of which will be large and multifaceted. You will focus on regional growth of new business opportunities whilst maintaining relationships with existing key clients. In the role of Regional Sales Manager you will have the following key responsibilities;

  • Prospect and sell to new customers in the defined sales territory and across all designated market sectors;
  • Develop and manage relationships with existing customers, in the defined sales territory and within the designated market segments;
  • Take leadership role in contributing to overall success of the sales team;
  • Grow the business in line with measured performance goals and objectives;
  • Attain the necessary technical training and WPS product knowledge required to provide professional consultation services for customers;
  • Collaborate with the sales team and management to develop and discuss sales strategies and to measure success of current market plan.

What you will bring to the table

You are at a stage in your career where you have a strong desire to further develop your existing experience, abilities and skill set in a sales and business development environment.

The following are some of the key skills, attributes and experience that we would like to see:

  • University Undergraduate Degree or College Diploma;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in business-to-business selling related to enterprise software solutions that reside within complex, large scale network environments.
  • Self-driven, with a measured persistence based on a hunger to succeed and grow;
  • The ability to understand, explain and deliver complex technical solutions;
  • Confident in engaging and influencing customers at all levels;
  • Excellent writing skills to enable the production of high quality bid and tender documentation;
  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and networking skills;
  • Good commercial awareness to enable understanding of customer needs and development of appropriate solutions that will bring benefits to their business;
  • Availability to travel on business as needed.
  • Ability to communicate in French language (written and oral) would be beneficial
