Cale Group Strengthens U.S. Presence With Acquisition, Announces New Subsidiary and President of Cale America

To strengthen its presence and advance its North American growth strategy, Cale Group has agreed to acquire certain assets of Cale Parking Systems USA, its local distributor in the U.S. In doing so, Cale Group creates a new subsidiary, Cale America, which will provide parking terminal services to customers across the U.S. Headquartered in Sweden, the Cale Group is one of the leading parking equipment suppliers in the world with over 50,000 installations in 30 countries.
"The U.S. market is a top priority for the Cale Group; which is why we are very pleased to announce this acquisition and the creation of Cale America," said Henrik Mella, CEO of Cale Group, based in Sweden. "This acquisition will align with what we have done in other important markets such as Canada, the UK, Norway, and Germany; it is part of our global expansion strategy to grow our business both organically and through acquisition. Cale America is in the best position to ensure quality control from top to bottom, institutionalize the Cale Group values throughout the company, and improve efficiency and customer service."
At the same time, Cale Group announced the appointment of a new President for Cale America, Edward Olender. Previously acting as President within Cale Systems Inc. Canada, Mr. Olender will take on the full mandate and responsibility as President for Cale America. "Edward has been with Cale for many years," continued Henrik Mella. "He has a broad knowledge of the industry and of Cale products."

"I look forward to working actively with our dedicated local team of 40 employees and to meeting our valued clients in the next months. I also will very much enjoy working closely with Jeff Nethery, our new General Manager responsible for day-to-day operations. The agreement to acquire certain assets of CALE Parking USA is subject to certain contractual and other conditions.
