Convenient pay by cell option available in day lots november 25

The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) will launch a pay by phone service for parking in Whistler Day Lots 1, 2, and 3 on November 25, 2010. This option allows residents and guests to pay for parking in the Day Lots using their cell phones. In addition, guests will receive a text message reminder before parking time expires and have the option of phoning to extend parking time from anywhere. This service eliminates the need to carry cash and allows users to view and print receipts online.

Sandra Smith, Supervisor of Bylaw Services for the RMOW, says, We investigated a number of options to enhance the arrival experience of guests using the Day Lots. Introducing a pay by phone option allows resort guests to conveniently pay for parking and to add additional parking time without returning to their cars, so they can spend their time enjoying recreational activities on Whistler and Blackcomb mountains and in Whistler Village.
