Envision Solar (EVSI) Gains 20% on Deployment of Solar Grove Concept at Dell Headquarters
Envision Solar International Inc. (OTC BB: EVSI) stock increased 20% on June 12, after the Company announced a new design project for a solar shaded parking structure at Dells headquarters in Round Rock, Texas.
The project announcement reversed the downward trend of the Companys stock triggered by worsening operating results for the most recent quarter, when revenue declined 41% to $162,626 for the three months ended March 31, 2010.
EVSI is a solar planner, architect and inventor designing and deploying clean energy systems globally. The Company has two lines of business, ParkSolar for commercial, industrial and government projects, and LifeSystems for residential and light commercial products and projects. Both groups have envisioned, invented and engineered the next generation solar integrated building systems which provide the foundation for the lowest cost, most highly engineered solutions available for the massive future worldwide market for solar parking array installations.
The Companys business model includes vertical integration of all key capabilities required for the full, turn-key single-point-of-contract implementation of each project. These capabilities include project planning and management, design, construction, operations and maintenance, and structured finance. For a better execution, EVSI has developed alliances with partners who provide key products and services to assure best-in-class products at each project location. Photovoltaic manufacturer Astronergy, a division of Chint Group, Noveda Technologies and ChargePoint Networked Charging Station manufacturer Coulomb Technologies have joined Envision as primary alliance partners.
The Company was the first to invent and build structures for solar that address the unused millions of acres of parking spaces. The conceptualization of the Solar Grove product, which creates solar power from carports, was installed for the first time in 2005 at Kyoceras San Diego headquarters, and now organizations such as Dell and the University of California San Diego utilize them, along with integrated solar-to-electric vehicle charging stations.
The recently announced project is based on the Companys Solar Grove concept and generates more than 130kW of clean electricity directly from the sun per year. The structure simultaneously shades 50 parking spaces. The solar arrays also incorporate two Envision Solar CleanCharge solar charging stations for Electric Vehicles and Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles.
The Company has also announced the launch of Quick Service Restaurant initiative featuring Solar Grove solar parking arrays and CleanCharge solar charging stations for parking lots. CleanCharge is the first initiative to bring shade, clean solar energy and electric vehicle charging stations to Quick Service Restaurant parking lots.
EVSI has under development a new concept called Envision Solars LifeVillage, a line of prefabricated buildings that can be quickly deployed anywhere in times of crisis and for many uses. At up to 50kW of generation capacity, LifeVillage offers clean energy where traditional electric grids cannot go and has the unique potential to provide medical clinics, mobile phone centers, purified water and more.
