Expo Parking 2011 greatly exceeds expectations of organizers

Over 90% of exhibitors confirm their presence at 2012 edition.
expo parking 2011.jpgThe first edition of Expo Parking, the only event in Latin America geared exclusively to the parking sector, ended Thursday November 24, with a record-high approval by exhibitors; practically all corporate exhibitors have already confirmed their participation in the 2012 trade fair. Held in the Blue Pavilion of Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, Expo Parking took place at the same as the fourth edition of TranspoQuip Latin America, the largest Latin American transportation infrastructure trade fair. This event has been growing approximately 25% every year, both in the number of visitors and also in the number of exhibitors.
The joint organization of Expo Parking 2011 with TranspoQuip ensured a record breaking number of visitors and business opportunities generated at the trade fair. Approx. 8,300 visitors visited the stands of 250 exhibitors, 30% of which were composed of foreign companies based in Germany, Argentina, Canada, Colombia, China, Croatia, Spain, United States, France, Italy, South-Korea and Taiwan. Estimates indicate that the event generated at least R$40 million in business. Many contacts were made and many more negotiations will be concluded in the following months. 
expo1.jpgThe event brought together public and private sector buyers with the main industry suppliers of products and services. According to Sebas Van Den Ende, director of Real Alliance, organizer of the event, "With a 25% increase in the number of exhibitors at TranspoQuip, the amount of business opportunities has increased significantly and will grow even further next year. We are very proud of this year's results. Van den Ende affirmed, The exhibitors are very satisfied, many of them have already confirmed their participation in the next TranspoQuip." As explained by Hélgio Trindade Filho - Product Manager at Digicon. For us, Expo Parking 2011 was very positive; it brought together qualified public gathered in search of technological solutions for our business areas (Transit, Transportation. Parking meters and Access Control). Parallel events also contributed to large debates in these segments, especially the seminar by CET SP. We are definitely back in 2012! 
The second edition of Expo Parking has been scheduled for November 21-23, 2012, at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo.

expo3.jpgIn addition to uniting buyers and suppliers, Expo Parking 2011 also hosted the First Brazilian Parking Conference, which was organized by ABRAPARK, in partnership with IPI (International Parking Institute), the American publication Parking Today and with support from SINDEPARK (the Union of Garages and Parking Facilities of São Paulo State). The goal of the conference was to bring together parking experts from countries where the sector is more developed, to facilitate the development and professional growth of the parking sector in Brazil.
Today, Expo Parking is the main event for parking in Brazil that brings together suppliers and buyers of equipment and services for the parking industry and attracts parking operators from airports, shopping malls, universities, municipalities, stadiums, ports etceteras
Other events organized in parallel what helped to create an important parking platform were Expo Urbano (event for urban development) and Expo Estádio (infrastructure for sport facilities).
