Gallan Parking Delivers New Income Stream From Development Sites
A massive new car parking facility, adjacent to Leamington Spa railway station, in Warwickshire, will offer all day parking for just 2.50 providing commuters, shoppers, visitors and office workers with possibly the cheapest car parking in the town.
The 370 space facility has been created by Gallan Parking Ltd which earlier this month (October) received planning permission to re-develop the 2.3 acre site. Formerly a car showroom, the land has lain derelict for a number of years.
Phillip Grant, Managing Director of Gallan Parking based in Birmingham, West Midlands said: The area has been a real eyesore for a very long time.
We have now completely demolished all buildings on site, reclaimed the brickwork and created what we believe is the largest surface car park in Leamington. It should prove to be a great boost for everyone in and around the town and significantly help to ease congestion on the busy station approach.
The Leamington site is just one of a growing number of derelict and unsightly pockets of land throughout the UK that are being transformed into valuable car parking facilities by Gallan Parking Ltd, a recently established company within Gallan Group, the Midlands based property and investment specialists.
More than 2,000 spaces in key locations throughout the UK have been created since the company first recognised the potential of utilising land awaiting development back in November 2009.
We are working with some of the most respected names in the property industry to develop these sites and are now earnestly seeking other opportunities, Phillip said.

We are in negotiations with a number of City Councils and local authorities to take over the management of their existing sites, he said.
