Industry Icon Brett Harwood to Sponsor National Parking Association Executive Forums
he National Parking Association (NPA) today announced that former NPA Chairman Brett Harwood, through his company, Park Equity LLC, will sponsor two new events (the Harwood CEO Leadership Forum and Harwood Legal Issues and Trends Forum) for the next five years as executive insight forums for the parking industry.
The Harwood CEO Leadership Forum, to be held at NPA's Annual Winter Leadership Forum and Annual Convention and Expo, features top industry leaders on the trends, issues and opportunities facing the parking industry. The Harwood Legal Forum features Michael L. Stevens, partner, Arent Fox LLP of Washington, D.C., at the 2011 Annual Winter Leadership Forum.
"Brett Harwood's five-year commitment to these Forums makes it possible for NPA to bring some of the best minds and best practices in parking and legal thought leadership to the transportation and parking industries," said NPA President Christine Banning, CAE.
Harwood, a New Jersey attorney and founder and partner of Parking Advisory Group, LLC, and Welcome Parking, LLC, has a 30-year background in the parking industry. He served as NPA chairman from 1994-96 and serves on its Board of Directors.
In 2006, Harwood formed The Parking Advisory Group, LLC, to provide parking advisory services to leading real estate owners and developers. In 2007, Harwood formed Welcome Parking, LLC, with longtime associate John Hogan to provide high quality parking management services in the New York metropolitan market.
He has been engaged in numerous charitable efforts, including Chairman of the Board of Libertyhealth Jersey City, N.J.; and chairing the capital campaign for the Wilzig Hospital at Jersey City Medical Center. He has been a lead donor and Trustee at Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster, Pa., where his gifts have assisted the development of the Roschell Arts Center and the new Klehr Center for Jewish Life.
