Copenhagen Airport soars with positive results with a fresh, new design of their On-line Parking Reservation System

Copenhagen Airport are experiencing an exciting period of growth with long haul traffic up almost 4% year on year.  With this is mind, CPH wanted to improve the way customers are able to search for, and book parking reservations.

So after an intensive A/B testing program a re-designed site was launched in March including the following:

• Highly optimised site to maximise conversion
• Market leading responsive design for a consistent view on mobile, desktop or tablet
• New, easier to find ancillary services for adding onto the parking booking

Gary Pyatt, Inventive’s Business Development Manager commented: “The new site is proving a real success.  Fresh new images, bright colours and a clear, easy to follow booking journey has increased conversion and importantly, been very well received by new and existing customers.  New features such as content areas that are fully controllable by the CPH team, so changes can be made and activated immediately.  Extra pricing options and extended capacity logic encompassing yield management policies further enhance the ability to maximise revenue across parking and ancillaries.” 

Christian Nicolai Thiesen, Online Development Manager for eCommerce and Marketing further stated.  “After carrying out several usability and A/B tests we saw a great potential to increase our conversion rates in our booking journey. Our redesign process involved increasing our efforts on the user experience and optimizing each step in our booking funnel. After the launch of our new site, we have seen the positive result we were hoping for – having increased the number of people who start the booking journey by 34.5% and total conversion rate by 12.2%.”
