Parking Levies Cities of the future?

With the introduction of the new Workplace Parking Levy in Nottingham, how long will it be before other cities around the country start adopting the same system?
deistertranspeed.PNGIn Nottingham, companies are being charged by the City Council nearly 300 for each car parking space used by their employees.

So how are they going to recuperate that lost profit?

One way is to charge employees a fee for parking their cars whilst at work. But they will need to know whos in, whos out and for how long.

The solution to this problem is to use deister electronics automatic vehicle identification system, tranSpeed.

Using this system you can identify vehicles entering or leaving a car park and keep a running log on its use. This way you can see how much an employee has used the car park as each vehicle has uniquely numbered RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) tag and then charge the employee accordingly.

The tranSpeed system doesn't use expensive computer systems to analyse number plates taken by a CCTV camera, and you cant make a false RFID tag with just a computer and a printer.
deistertranspeed2.PNGBut its not just parking solutions that the tranSpeed system can be used for; you can tag other items too.

Tags on forklifts to operate automatic doors, authorised vehicle access to dangerous areas, taxi and bus lane priority, automatic identification of lorries on weighbridges, access to the air side of airports etc. The applications are limitless

With the tranSpeed system being much cheaper than ANPR, companies can also see a much quicker return on investment.
