Solaire Generation Selected as Preferred Solar Carport Vendor for GE / Inovateus Partnership
Solaire Generation, Inc., a leading provider of solar parking canopies, is pleased to announce that Inovateus Solar LLC has selected Solaire as a preferred vendor of solar carports to support their recent partnership with GE Energy Industrial Solutions.
Under this partnership, Inovateus Solar, a national solar power distributor and integrator, will be the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for integrated solar carport charging stations using GE EV chargers, solar balance of system (BOS) components, and electrical distribution equipment. Solaire will offer three of its proprietary carports, all of which easily integrate with EV charging stations.
Earlier this year, Solaire installed its patent pending Premium F2 solar parking structure as part of Inovateus' 100-kilowatt solar system at GE's facility in Plainville, Conn. The Plainville carport, with six Level 2 GE DuraStation* EV charging stations, is one of the largest of its kind in North America. The Premium F2, along with the Solaire 360 and Solairis models, will be offered by Inovateus and GE to companies, universities, retailers, arenas and more across the US.
Solar-powered EV charging carports make sense because they are functional--offering shade and protection for both cars and drivers--while producing energy for recharging vehicles and returning off-peak excess to the grid.
"Solaire is thrilled to continue expanding its relationships with world class distributors and integrators such as Inovateus. This is a terrific opportunity for Solaire to contribute to the mainstream adoption of electric vehicles," said Laurence Mackler, CEO of Solaire Generation. "The EV industry is really starting to grow," observed T.J. Kanczuzewski, Inovateus Solar's president. "There are now market predictions of double and triple annual growth into the near future, at least for the next five years. Solar EV charging carports make both economic and environmental sense."
