Streetline Announces Partnership with SAP
Streetline Joins SAP PartnerEdge as a Software Solution Partner
Streetline Inc. today announced it is partnering with global business software leader SAP AG (NYSE: SAP),joining the SAP PartnerEdge program as a software solution partner.
The new partnership combines the expertise of Streetline, a global leader in sensor-based smart city solutions, with SAP's innovative solutions for the public sector, to help local and municipal governments increase revenue and manage critical parking assets more efficiently.
Experts estimate that over 30 percent of traffic congestion in cities is caused by drivers looking for parking. The link between SAP and Streetline will help municipalities speed deployment of smart parking systems using Streetline's patented low-power wireless networks and sensors - providing drivers a quick and easy way to locate inexpensive parking, while enabling cities to manage their parking resources more efficiently.
As more cities struggle to reduce costs and manage resources, there is an increasing need for advanced sensor technologies like Streetline's which enable cities to communicate and gain valuable information form physical objects and environments such as parking spaces. Streetline's web based and mobile solutions leverage this sensor enabled real-time data to deliver a suite of workforce management, policy and consumer applications.
