THP Filling Open Desk Spaces; New Hires Join The Firm
THP welcomes new engineers to support its increased workload and strategic growth plans.
Susan Caldwell, a recent graduate from the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Applied Science received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering focusing on structural engineering. Her academic excellence was recognized with her 3.9 GPA and Deans List accomplishments. She was also a nominee for the colleges 2011 Herman Schneider Medal. According to the Universitys website the medal is awarded to a senior for distinction as an exemplary co-op student one who has taken fullest advantage of the unique opportunities of a cooperative education. She is active in various engineering and community organizations.
Prior to attending the University of Cincinnati, Caldwell proudly served in the United States Army based in Ft. Campbell, KY and Ft. Drum, NY as a Communications Specialist for four years. She also served in the Ohio Army National Guard based in Cincinnati, OH for three years as a Chemical Operations Supervisor. Her superior duty and commitment earned her multiple military awards including the Army Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Good Conduct Award.
Caldwells limited free time is currently spent planning her upcoming wedding to be held in North Carolina and her interests include mountain biking with her fiancé and playing the French Horn.

Mindy Barber, a previous graduate engineer and intern at THP completed her Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Ohio Northern University; both course of studies emphasized structural engineering. Her exceptional academic performance sustained her seven quarters on the Deans List. She is currently an Engineer in Training (EIT).
Barbers academic and leadership achievements supported her many scholarships including the University of Cincinnati Graduate Scholarship, Ohio Northern University Trustee Scholar, and the Baker Concrete Construction National Concrete Canoe Scholarship. She is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Institute of Steel Construction.
Barbers favorite pastime is baking. Her colleagues at THP enjoy her delicious recipes and samples. She also spends time playing racquetball, softball and watching the Cincinnati Reds.
