EDC Corporation Celebrates Its Flagship Product AIMS Being Adopted by Over 180 Parking Departments in the US and Canada

AIMS was the first parking management system to introduce enforcement via a smartphone app.

With AIMS now in use at over 180 parking departments throughout the United States and Canada, EDC Corporation is experiencing rapid growth. Their flagship product provides parking departments with easy-to-use management software, ideally suited to enforcement, permitting and event parking. AIMS was the first parking management system to introduce enforcement via a smartphone app, and innovation continues to be at the forefront of EDC Corporation’s product developments, which focus on virtual enforcement and electronic citations.

EDC Corporation develops and deploys innovative products for efficient enforcement, permit and event management. The license plate recognition solution streamlines parking enforcement, whilst providing dashboards and widgets that display lot occupancy and heatmaps that record parking enforcement activity. It is also capable of highlighting areas that are not being enforced, as well as tracking and storing all LPR reads and hits and integrating this data with the parking citation record.

EDC Corporation has also prepared for the future trend towards digitalization. With the AMP Park pay-by-phone app, it is possible to integrate pay-by-phone sessions into the AIMS platform, making it possible for higher-education, municipal, hospital, airport, and private parking operators to see a complete picture of a parker's activity. Operators now have their parking permits, citations, and all of the transient pay-by-phone transactions at their fingertips. The breadth of functionality that the AIMS software offers, has fuelled EDC Corporation’s growth as it is no longer necessary for parking operators to open several software platforms for an overview of parking activity.

A large part of EDC Corporation’s success lies in the unparalleled customer service and support they provide. Clients are not forced to submit support requests through an online portal because EDC Corporation’s unique philosophy for service delivery means that software engineers are available to provide direct and personalized support. This service, along with the easy-to-use, fully functional software, is what drives new clients to the AIMS cloud-based platform.

Ellen Genung, Vice President of EDC Corporation explains what sets them apart, “We really strive to streamline our clients' operations - be they large scale operations such as the City of Las Vegas, which hosts over 4 million people annually, or North Carolina State University, with a campus population of over 34,000, or medium-sized parking operations such as health care centers and airports. Our business model is simple - employ talented staff, keep in touch with our clients, learn from our clients, learn from the industry, and continue to develop new technologies.
