Automated Valets award-winning DFW installation gets upgrades

Dallas/Fort Worth, May 2011  - With new technology available to simplify valet parking, the use of smart phone apps is now standard procedure at Automated Valet. Every week the company leads the industry in the creation of new and customized apps to serve its clients.
Automated Valet has just completed and launched a custom iPhone app for Airport Valet at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. The app, called Valet Airport, is an added feature to the operations current system, AVPM. It can be applied at any valet operation and customized to meet any specific requirements.

The app has special capabilities that serve customers and keep the operation running profitably. For customers, the app conducts all procedures necessary for a customer rewards program for frequent parkers, reservations, and credit card payment. It keeps credit card data on file and secure to ease payment and speed exit. The customer rewards program gives regular parkers discounts and other perks for their loyalty. Customers can download the app for free at the Apple store.

The operation itself can use the app to take pictures of vehicles to record previous damages, scan for VIN numbers, track the progress of each podium, vehicle, employee and keys and stay in contact with customers for vehicle requests and special services. All information and processes are connected through the internet.

Airport Valet is one of the most complex valet operations in the world with hundreds of employees on site and thousands of cars arriving and departing daily. Its unique geographical arrangement makes it a challenging environment as well. Automated Valet designed its operating system in 2008 and earned an Honorable Mention for Innovation in a Parking Operation category at the 2009 International Parking Institute Awards for Excellence.

Automated Valet Founder and CEO Ken Gulec says the Valet Airport App is an essential tool for any airport valet operation. Given the complicated nature of airports and air travel, making parking procedures simple is a vital step.

"We can make apps to fit any operation regardless of its size and complexity, he says. Airport operations should certainly consider how much easier it will be to do business with consolidated data gathering and the use of iPhones."

AVPM, the only valet parking application of its kind. For more information visit www.automatedvalet.com or www.valetparkingapps.com
