Bouwfonds is Eager to Expand its Business

Bouwfonds IM, the leading specialist for car park investments in Europe, has launched funds in this segment for over ten years.

Bouwfonds is looking for multi-functional car parks with multiple anchors: inner-cities, hospitals, infrastructure hubs, high-end offices-, and leisure locations. Key in the selection is a strong and sustainable balance between parking demand and supply and strict enforcement. The acquisition strategy mainly focuses on Europe.

Currently, the investment manager manages a total of six funds with parking assets: two closed-end mutual funds for German High Net Worth Individuals and smaller institutional investors, and four open-ended special funds for institutional investors. Assets under management in the car park segment stand at c. EUR 900 million. At present, one of these funds is in its acquisition phase, and searching for investment opportunities.
