BPA's Jane Hack wins British Parking Award!

BPA is very pleased to announce and congratulate its very own Jane Hack, director of member services and company secretary at the BPA, on winning a British Parking Award for her Outstanding Contribution to the Parking Sector.
Presented by comedian Alexander Armstong, the British Parking Awards 2012 took place on Friday, aiming to recognise excellence in parking management, design and technology. Over 80 entrants competed for recognition at the event organised by Parking Review magazine.

Jane has worked in the parking sector for 20 years and was presented with the award in recognition of her work promoting learning via the Institute of Parking Professionals and knowledge sharing via the BPA regional groups and special interest groups.

Following the success of Friday's awards, here are the winners of the evening

Heathrow's driverless pods won the Equita Overall Winner Award. The network of electric driverless pods shuttle passengers between Heathrow Terminal 5 and BAA's business car park also won the Innovation Award and the Parking and the Environment Award. The Ulta Pod system is the result of 30 million of research and development over the past six years.

BAAs car park manager at Heathrow Airport, Andy Cameron, was named Parking Person of the Year for creating customer-friendly services such as parent and child bays.

Exceptional Customer Service Award Ealing Council has revised their customer complaints process, improved online services and buy visitor parking time via the phone.
