Three car parks in Hounslow received the prestigious Park Mark award this year for the first time.
Newly appointed Area Manager for the British Parking Association (BPA), Antony Powell said: “As the newly appointed Safer Parking Scheme Area Manager for north London, I congratulate Hounslow Borough Council for all their hard work in achieving the Park Mark award for the Alexandra Road, Holloway Street and Civic Centre Visitors car parks. Visitors to the three car parks may now park safely in the knowledge that each facility has been successfully assessed in terms of physical security and management practices.”
Antony Phillips of the Metropolitan Police added: "It is encouraging to find a local authority which is committed to uprating it's parking facilities in challenging financial times. Hopefully these awards will encourage other parking facility providers within the Borough to seek to achieve the Park Mark award for their car parks."
Cllr Ed Mayne, cabinet member for community safety and regulatory services, said: “This award reflects the council’s drive to keep not only residents but motorists safer in Hounslow.”
