Central Parking Awarded San Francisco Airport Renewal

Central Parking System, Inc. (“Central”) today announced that New South Parking – California, GP has been awarded a contract renewal for its continued management of parking operations at San Francisco International Airport (SFO).

New South Parking, a partnership between Central Parking System, Inc. and Global Parking Systems, LLC, was awarded the five year renewal after an RFP process. The partnership’s original agreement with SFO for a five-year term became effective July 1, 2007.“SFO is committed to providing travelers with unsurpassed safety, security and customer service, and we are committed to supporting them with our quality parking services,” said Jim Marcum, President and CEO of Central Parking. “We are pleased that after observing our performance during the initial term of our agreement they made the decision to extend the contract,” Marcum added.

“We are appreciative that our partnership was recognized for its outstanding performance, and we were selected to continue the management of parking operations for SFO,” said Steve McCormick, Vice President of Airports Division. “This decision by the SFO Airport Commission and the City and County of San Francisco to renew the agreement confirms our position as the operator of choice for major airports,” added McCormick. SFO is one of the 30 busiest airports in the world, having seen more that 9.7 million passengers pass through its gates in the first quarter of 2012.
