Central Parking Releases Proprietary iPhone App
Central Parking System, Inc. (Central) announced today the release of its new proprietary parking app which is available at the Apple App Store. The application is also available for download at the Companys website. The app is FREE and includes information on parking throughout the United States.
The app allows consumers to automatically identify parking locations in cities using their iPhone or iPad. Features in the app include full GPS functionality and the ability to search for parking locations by address, city or zip code. The app includes price information, hours of operation, entrances, credit card acceptance, motorcycle parking and more. Centrals app interfaces with Google Maps to provide turn-by-turn driving directions.
Every month there are over 20 million searches that include the word parking, and consumers are increasingly going mobile to identify parking options and make decisions, said James Marcum, Chief Executive Officer and President. Through Centrals go mobile initiative our goal is to work with our clients to maximize their revenue by ensuring that wherever consumers are looking for parking we are there with the information they seek.
Central is already a leader in using the web to interact with customers and direct new revenue to its managed locations, added Rick West, Executive Vice President. We have over 50 consumer-facing city websites and specialty websites, including those for airports, which are visited by over 4 million people a year. In addition, we offer retail merchants, restaurants, building managers/owners and a wide variety of other businesses free dedicated pages on our websites to provide parking information linked to their business website.
Im very excited to lead Centrals consumer marketing team, said Vincent Raguseo, Vice President of Marketing. In addition to constantly adding new parking locations to our app and working on an Android version, we will be introducing later this month mobile coupons for select locations in New York City, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. to generate even more value for our customers and managed parking facilities.
