Circontrol Launching the eVolve Rapid Range of Electric Vehicle Chargers

Circontrol Launches a Range of 25 KW Chargers for Fast Charging Without the Need for High Power

- Viladecavalls, Spain
eVolve Rapid DC

Circontrol, a leading provider of electric vehicle mobility and charging solutions, is launching a new range of 25 kW fast chargers, the eVolve Rapid wallboxes and posts. The new stations feature the best of Circontrol’s slow and fast charger systems and act as a direct current (DC) fast-charging solution but with the compact, space-saving enclosure found on alternative current (AC) charger systems. This means that the eVolve Rapid range will bring fast charging to smaller private sites lacking the space and high power required to install other larger charging stations with increased power.

A Perfect Fleet Solution:

Circontrol’s eVolve Rapid range provides a new charging solution for private fleets, repair shops, carsharing companies, and other private car parks that do not require smart chargers. However, the range is expected to develop over the course of this year and provide the option of combining several units with a master unit that centralizes smart capabilities, controls the grid, and manages their charges. This station helps make multi-vehicle charging profitable and provides a fast-charging multi-point solution perfect for vehicles that need to be on the road as long as possible. It can also combine slow, semi-fast, and fast charging, a new option and the only one of its kind on the market, opening up charging to all-electric vehicles on the market, including plug-in hybrids.

Two to Three Times Faster Charging Time Compared to AC Charging:

Considering that electric vehicles on average need 17 kW to travel 100 km, and that most charging stations provide between 7.4 kW and 11 kW of power, Circontrol’s new eVolve Rapid systems cut down charging time by half or even two-thirds compared to most slow-charging (AC) stations, with a one-hour charge providing an average range of almost 150 km. All this without the need to contract high power or section off a large space for the charging station.

Simple and Future-Proof Charging:

The new eVolve Rapid range enters the Circontrol catalog during a major expansion of the
eVolve Rapidelectric vehicle charging infrastructure network, mainly fast charging, which is essential for the widespread rollout of electric vehicles on our roads. In this sense, the eVolve range will make it easier for company fleets to go electric and will help minimize charging times for carsharing vehicles, as well as much more. All this using a simple charging process, without the need to authenticate charging using an RFID card, a smartphone application, or any other form of identification. Users can only interact with the charger using two buttons, one to start charging and another to stop. It also has a light indicator showing the charger’s status at all times (charging, failure, or available).

Circontrol’s new range is designed, like the Raption 100 and its other recent products, to charge using a very broad voltage scale (from 200 to 920 V), which means it is capable of charging both new small electric cars and heavy vehicles such as electric buses and lorries.

About Circontrol

Circontrol is a company with in-house technology where innovation is a constant objective. It was founded in 1997 to provide solutions in the mobility sector and electric vehicle charging solutions. Since its creation, it has dedicated a large part of its work to R&D and producing high-quality products, making it a leader not only in standard solutions but also in solutions specific to market demands.

Its core activity is focused on developing Mobility or, more specifically, on efficient solutions for
mobility in car parks and eMobility, with smart charging solutions for electric vehicles.
