GPS Parking using your mobile Phone.

The Parkmobile Group launches its new and revolutionary mobile application for the iPhone. With this mobile app, Dutch and English Parkmobile customers will have the capability to start and stop their parking transaction using their iPhone and GPS location.
screen2.jpgParkmobile is the first parking provider launching an app that makes it possible for parking with GPS in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands on such a large scale. We are very excited that we can give our customers the possibility to automatically look up the correct zone number and start a parking transaction says Allard Hansma Marketing Manager of the Parkmobile Group. He continues With the launch of GPS we take pay by phone parking to the next level - weve made it even more convenient for the customer. Just launch the app, confirm your location and you are parked from the comfort of your own car.

The app consists of multiple functionalities to start and stop parking sessions as well as giving the customer the possibility to key in a duration time or extend a parking transaction. The app also provides you with a history of your last 5 parking actions. Another exciting new feature introduced allows customers to tell their friends that they are using Parkmobiles Pay by Phone parking service through social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn. The app knows what way you like to park; use GPS or manually key in the zonal number,it is up to the customer. And if you feel like it you can tell all your friends about the simple way of Parking. says Allard Hansma. Obviously for other (smart)phone users Parkmobile launches its new mobile website to start and stop a parking transaction. The mobile website does not have the GPS functionality.

What the future holds in store.

At the moment were concentrating on the GPS locations and upgrading the accuracy where possible. Getting all the correct locations of the parking meters and spaces in the Netherlands and United Kingdom is not a one day job. The app learns every day about these locations. This way we improve the service every day. Next to that we have lots of exciting ideas. Parkmobile is also interested in their customers feedback when it comes to using the app. We are very curious to learn what our customers think about our new app service, so much so that we would like them to write to us at sales@parkmobile.com if they have any feedback regarding the app.

About Pay by Phone Parking.

At the end of each month Parkmobile collects the parking fees generated using direct debit or credit card.
