Green Parking Council Platinum Launch Partner Propark Wins Sustainability Award
The Green Parking Council (GPC) recently announced that one of its platinum launch partners, Propark America, has been recognized by the MetroHartford Alliance and the Hartford Business Journal as a 2011 Business Champion for Excellence in Sustainability.
Propark America continues to help pioneer the movement toward environmental sustainability within the parking sector, said Marc Alt, executive director of the GPC. The Green Parking Council appreciates the fact that our launch partners put into place real, tangible initiatives that are a positive step forward for the industry.
Propark was one of the first parking companies to become a platinum launch partner of the GPC and has multiple GPC demonstrator sites across the country, including Canopy Airport Parking, which is billed as one of the worlds greenest parking facilities. The company also installs Juice Bar electric vehicle charging stations in select facilities, in addition to recycling stations, tire inflation stations and energy efficient lighting.
